Congratulations to all winners of the Sudbury Minor Hockey Houseleague Classic!

SMHA membership,

SMHA took a one-year leave of absence from carding AAA teams at the U12, U13, and U14 age groups for this season. After much discussion and debate, SMHA has decided to take a leave of absence from the U15AAA card for the 2023-2024 season.

SMHA is committed to working on plans to grow hockey, increase player development and ensure quality coaching across all age groups. Our long-term goal is to increase high-level hockey in Sudbury so our teams can compete successfully and that our players will have somewhere to play in Northern Ontario.

Congratulations to the U15A Sudbury Timberwolves for winning the NDMHL playoffs. After a challenging start to the season, it is nice to see all the player’s hard work and dedication pay off. A great team effort by all!

The NOHA is pleased to announce that registration for the Under 14 Development Weekend – open to 2009-born Players within the NOHA – is now open. The event will take place from August 11-13, 2023, at Memorial Gardens in North Bay.

Players who participate in this event will get their first taste of the Program of Excellence through a series of practices, games, and off-ice development opportunities.

Through a partnership with Canadian Tire, Respect Group Inc. will be offering a variety of Respect in Sport programs for free this year from February 21st through to April 30th, 2023.
